Moaven and Partners Pathology Pty Ltd was established by Dr Len Moaven and Professor Rob Lindeman in August 2004. Our aim is to provide a personal, reliable and fast service to our colleagues in the Western suburbs of Sydney. Our philosophy can be summed up in the phrase 'we want our colleagues to look good'. Our rapid turnaround of over 90% of results means that there are no 'surprises' i.e. if there is an unexpectedly abnormal result you won't be getting a call in the middle of the night....or the next day when it may be too late. Anxious patients can get over 90% of their results within 5-6 hours of blood collection. The rapid processing of samples improves the quality of results - this is very important for microbiology and many labile analytes (e.g. insulin) or haemolysis (potassium, AST, LDH) etc.

We take great care in reporting our results. Abnormal results appear in red. Many of the comments are personally written by the pathologist. We endeavour to use as little extra paper as possible. We are meticulous in linking previous results for patients. This means the clinician can rapidly scan results for abnormalities or just as importantly easily see trends in results. We can customise reports for clinicians including supplying the larger A4 or smaller A5 reports but you can also choose....the order of your cumulative reports i.e. the current result first or last (we default to first)....to adding personal warnings for reference ranges.

And if you do need to ring us your call will be answered promptly (no call waiting or option selection).

From a philosphical stand point....we do not own hospitals or chains of medical centres....we are not here to compete with you. And we are Australian owned. All our profits stay in Australia to develop our practice and to employ staff in Australia.

Did you know...?

We can SMS INR results directly to your mobile phone. We are the first Australian laboratory with the ability to automatically generate results in the SMS format (using a secure messaging service that uses SSL encryption on incoming and outgoing messages). We can (and do) SMS other ‘single’ results, for example, Troponin T or BHCG.
